About the App

Connected Abroad is an iOS application designed to help expats stay connected with family back home through easy photo sharing and messaging reminders.

License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Connected Abroad for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control.

Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the app
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
• Remove any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Sublicense, sell, or transfer your rights to use the app

Third-Party Services

Connected Abroad integrates with third-party messaging services (WhatsApp, Telegram, iMessage). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of these third-party services.

Weather Data

Weather information is provided by Open-Meteo. We do not guarantee the accuracy of weather data displayed in the app.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The app will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Defects will be corrected
• The app is free of viruses or harmful components

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAXIME VAN DEN KERKHOF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Maxime Van den Kerkhof from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app or violation of these Terms.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway.
